The largest community-based financial institution in Cork, Bishopstown Credit Union, is to transform the former Viscount site on Curraheen Road into its new headquarters at a cost of €5.8 million.
The board of directors of the credit union, which has more than 25,000 members, will sell its existing premises on the Wilton Road to offset costs and says it expects the net costs of the new project to be €4.1m.
