Fifteen independent venues will offer demonstrations, tastings, brewing classes and music to promote the love of coffee on Leeside.
Now in its second year, the Cork Coffee Weekend is organised by Eoin Kennedy of Digital Zone and barista Caroline O’Keeffe.
The festival highlights the range and variety of cafes in Cork.
Coffee shops taking part include Alchemy, Cork Coffee Roasters, Orso and Filter.
The launch of the weekend took place in Cafe Velo on George’s Quay last night. Cafe Velo is also the location of the first event of the weekend, kicking off the festival at 10.30am on Friday.
