A Cork woman who went missing over the weekend, sparking a coordinated search effort by her loved ones, has been found safe and well.

The family received the news they were praying for in the early hours of this morning that Niamh was located safe and well in east Cork.
Niamh’s family told the Evening Echo that the efforts of hundreds of people to share her photo on social media and keep the information flowing had been invaluable and that they were incredibly appreciative and thankful to the Cork public for looking out for their loved one.
Niamh’s family also paid tribute to gardai in Togher and Sergeant Brendan Barry Murphy, whom they said had done a wonderful job in liaising with them throughout their worrying time.
